SOUTHWEST FLORIDA, (WINK) — It was a stormy afternoon and evening, with places like Naples picking up record daily rainfall. 

Tonight, that rain will come to an end around 9pm followed by partly cloudy skies. Overnight lows will be in the mid to upper 60s. 

Monday

Monday follows a similar pattern as to Easter Sunday:

• Dry start for the morning commute
• Rain developing later in the day
• Best chance for showers: after 4PM

Highs reach the mid-80s again. Here's the catch. This isn’t just a one-day rain setup.

Looking ahead

We’re entering a stretch where each day brings a decent chance for storms through Thursday.

A cold front moves in Tuesday, bringing the chance for rain not just in the afternoon, but also in the morning and midday hours. 

Behind the front, temperatures ease slightly into the low 80s, but the unsettled pattern lingers, increasing rain chances. This is as an area of low pressure forms along the stall front and lingers off the East Coast of Florida.

Beach and boating

If you’re heading out on the water, earlier is better. Scattered showers and storms will develop later today.

Gulf wave heights remain around 1 to 2 feet, with a light chop on bays and inland waters. Winds will be out of the east at 5 to 15 knots. Gulf water temperature is near 77 degrees.
