1 injured, suspect on the loose, after shooting at Collier County apartment complex

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. —

A person has been hospitalized after being shot and a suspect is on the loose after a fight at a Collier County apartment complex Monday afternoon.

According to the Collier County Sheriff's Office, the person was shot in the leg after someone pulled out a gun and fired. This happened at Poinciana Apartments on Airport-Pulling Road North at 2:58 p.m.

The identity of the victim and the extent of their injuries are not yet known.

There is no suspect in custody at this time and detectives are investigating, the sheriff's office said.
