The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office released the identity of an armed suspect who was killed by a deputy on April 1.
According to the sheriff's office, Keith Dwayne Blevins, 52, died after the agency responded to a report about someone armed at a home along Barker Avenue.
CCSO said people were able to get out of the house safely, but the man came out of the house with a gun and refused to drop it when prompted.
A deputy fired at the man, CPR was done on him, but he died.
