Hilux Wildfire grows to 511 acres in Big Cypress National Preserve in Collier County

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. —

The Hilux Wildfire, located in the northwest corner of the Big Cypress National Preserve in Collier County, has grown to 511 acres.

As of the latest update, the fire is 0% contained.

The fire is burning just north of I-75 and east of SR-29. It sparked near the Bear Island Campground on Friday, which caused visitors to evacuate.
