Miniature train at Lakes Park in Fort Myers to close temporarily for water quality treatment

FORT MYERS, Fla. —

The miniature train at Lakes Park in Fort Myers will close temporarily to accommodate a water quality improvement project.

According to Lee County, the miniature train will close on April 13, 16 and 17.

The county will begin a manual alum treatment process in the park's lakes beginning on April 13, which will use the amphitheater bridge to pump alum to a boat, which will require closure of the railroad tracks.

The Railroad Museum and Train Depot will remain open to visitors during the timeframe of the temporary miniature train closure.
