2 children injured after being hit by car while on e-bikes in North Port

NORTH PORT, Fla. (WINK)—Two children were struck by a vehicle while riding their e-bikes at Atwater Boulevard and Adderton Avenue.

North Port Police Department responded to the crash scene Tuesday morning.

Both children sustained injuries in the collision.

The two kids were transported to the hospital for treatment. The extent of their injuries has not been released.

The investigation into the crash remains active. Police are asking drivers to expect delays in the area and consider using an alternate route.
