Altercation between several people leads to gunfire at Poinciana Apartments in Naples

NAPLES, Fla. (WINK) — The Collier County Sheriff’s Office is responding to a scene involving a fight between several people that led to gunfire at the Poinciana Apartment.

Deputies responded to the scene located at 3325 Airport Road at around 3 p.m. on Monday after receiving reports of an altercation between several individuals.

According to the sheriff’s office, as the fight continued, someone produced a gun and proceeded to fire it. One person received a gunshot wound to the leg and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. 

Deputies report that the suspect is not in custody; however, they believe the scene is an isolated incident.
