Ambulance involved in crash on Colonial Blvd. and Ben C Pratt Six Mile Cypress Pkwy.

FORT MYERS, Fla. (WINK)—An ambulance was involved in a crash on Colonial Boulevard and Ben C Pratt Six Mile Cypress Parkway.

The crash happened around 7 a.m. Tuesday and involved a Hendry County ambulance.

According to Hendry County, the patient was a stroke alert and could not be airlifted due to the weather conditions. The patient was transferred to Lee County EMS and transported safely to the hospital. 

The Fort Myers Police Department said that no roads were blocked, but traffic looked congested based on the Florida Department of Transportation traffic cameras.

The crash is being investigated.
