Crash shuts down traffic along Hillsborough Blvd near North Port city limit

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. —

A serious crash involving commercial vehicles has shut down traffic near the Charlotte County line and the North Port city limit.

The crash happened at Hillsborough Boulevard and Atwater Street, and the area will be shut down for some time, according to the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office.

CCSO advised drivers to avoid the area and seek alternate routes. The sheriff's office said Florida Highway Patrol troopers are en route to investigate the crash.
