Rapper Offset shot at Florida casino, in stable condition, spokesperson says

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. —

Offset, an Atlanta-based rapper, was shot outside of a casino in Florida on Monday night.

The Seminole Police Department released a statement not naming the rapper as a victim.

"We are aware of an incident that occurred at a valet area after 7 p.m. Monday outside of Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood that resulted in non-life-threatening injuries to an individual who was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood," the statement said. "Seminole Police were on site immediately and the situation was contained quickly. Two individuals have been detained by police."

Offset, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, is stable, according to a statement from his spokesperson. He is being closely monitored and receiving treatment at a hospital.

Offset rose to fame as part of the rap trio Migos, which also included rappers Quavo and Takeoff. The group became a staple in the hip hop industry, with hits such as "Bad and Boujee" and "Stir Fry." The group earned Grammy nominations for Best Rap Album and more.

Migos member Takeoff was shot and killed in November 2022 outside of a bowling alley.

Offset was formerly married to Grammy-winning rapper Cardi B, and the two have three children together.
