SOUTHWEST FLORIDA, (WINK) —WINK News Weather Authority meteorologists are tracking off and on rain over the coming days as an area of low pressure drifts off Florida's east coast.

The Weather Authority's Zach Maloch said, "Off and on rain is the name of the game for today. We're not going to see a ton of rain for some communities, but the heaviest rain we do see will be later on this afternoon." 

Tuesday

Tuesday morning is starting a little wet for some as a few showers pass through Southwest Florida.

Rain showers will be off and on throughout the day, with scattered storms (60% coverage) with us throughout the afternoon.

Those storms will work from west to east, with the heaviest of rain expected for the east coast.

Plan for a breezy and cooler day, with highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s.

Wednesday

Wednesday will start mild, with a few small showers possible throughout the morning commute.

Wednesday will feature another round of scattered storms (40% coverage) throughout the afternoon and evening.

Breezy conditions continue, with highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s.

Thursday

Thursday morning will start mild and drier, with lows in the 60s.

Isolated storms will pop up Thursday afternoon, with most of that rain developing east of I-75 and working towards the east coast.

Breezy conditions continue Thursday with highs in the lower to mid 80s.
