Driver in custody after FHP chase on I-75, PIT maneuver near Terminal Access Rd

LEE COUNTY, Fla. —

Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol have taken a driver into custody after a chase on I-75 near Terminal Access Road.

Troopers say that they responded to a vehicle that they had been notified was driving all over the road and nearly causing multiple crashes on northbound I-75. They add that they located the vehicle at mile marker 125 and saw the same driving pattern.

They said that a traffic stop was initiated, however the vehicle did not stop, and a chase started. Troopers performed a PIT maneuver that finally stopped the vehicle.

The driver was taken into custody and FHP says that the incident remains under investigation.
