2 arrested after search warrant finds drugs in Cape Coral home near elementary school

CAPE CORAL, Fla. —

Two people were arrested on narcotics charges after Cape Coral police served a search warrant on a home less than 1,000 feet from Pelican Elementary School.

On Wednesday, the Cape Coral Police Department SWAT Team executed a search warrant at the 200 block of SW 33rd Terrace. Officers say that they initially received a tip that Andrew Lee Horner, 32, was selling narcotics.

During an undercover operation, officers say that Horner sold six grams of methamphetamine and 1.6 grams of MDMA. During a second undercover transaction, he sold 50 Xanax pills.

While executing the search warrant, officers say they found multiple items in Horner's home, including:

• LSD tabs (1.9 grams)
• Amphetamine pills (4.4 grams)
• Xanax pills (6.6 grams)
• psilocybin mushrooms (28.2 grams)
• methamphetamines (1.3 grams)
• Small plastic baggies

While searching the home, detectives say they found a purse belonging to Hanna Wheeler, 26. They add that a glass pipe that tested positive for methamphetamines was found inside.

Horner was arrested on the following charges:

• Sale of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a specified area (methamphetamines)
• Possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamines)
• Sale of a controlled substance (MDMA)
• Possession of a controlled substance (MDMA)
• Sale of a controlled substance (Xanax)
• Possession of a controlled substance (Xanax)
• Possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell (methamphetamines)
• Possession of a controlled substance (Amphetamine pills)
• Possession of a controlled substance (psilocybin mushrooms)
• Possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell (Xanax)
• Possession of drug paraphernalia

Wheeler was also arrested on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
