Charlotte County Fire & EMS crews assist in helicopter rescue of patient at Boardwalk Loop

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. —

Charlotte County Fire & EMS crews assisted in a helicopter rescue of a person in need of medical attention at Boardwalk Loop on Wednesday.

According to Charlotte County Public Safety, at around 12:49 p.m., crews responded to the patient needing medical attention down the trails on Boardwalk Loop.

Crews coordinated with the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office helicopter, which safely lowered down, retrieved the patient and brought them to awaiting medical personnel.

The patient was then transported to Gulf Coast Medical Center for further evaluation.
