Gusty winds stick around overnight and into Friday. Winds should ease slightly, but gusts will peak above 20 mph through Friday night. For that reason, a Small Craft Advisory is in effect for area waters, as offshore wave heights will build to 6 to 9 feet in the Gulf in the breezy conditions.
As for rain chances, coverage dwindles tonight and only rebounds to 10% during the day on Friday. Once the spotty rain seen late Thursday clears up, we will move into a dry stretch just in time for the weekend.
Mostly sunny skies and increasing temperatures are forecast to last well into the next workweek. Things look to stay quiet, but warm even into next weekend.
