A Bonita Springs woman is wanted after violating the terms of her probation following a guilty conviction after her 14-month-old child ingested cocaine.
According to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers, Santa Amelia Detzoy, 32, and her husband had their baby in bed with them, but fell asleep while the little girl stayed awake.
The child then found pills on the nightstand and put them in her mouth, Crime Stoppers said. Detzoy woke up to her daughter crying and screaming, with one of the pills stuck in her teeth.
The child was brought to the hospital, where she tested positive for cocaine. Luckily, the child survived the ingestion of the drugs.
Detzoy was arrested and found guilty of child neglect. She was placed on probation, but recently violated the terms of her release, triggering the new warrant for her arrest, Crime Stoppers said.
Detzoy is 4'11" and weighs 140 pounds.
If you have information in this case, you are asked to contact Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477), on the P3 app, or on its website. You can remain anonymous, and if your tip leads to an arrest, you may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $3,000.
