Hyundai is recalling nearly 300,000 vehicles due to a defect in seatbelt anchors that could fail and increase the risk of injury during a crash, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
Four Hyundai models are impacted by the recall: the Ioniq 6, Genesis G90, Santa Fe, and Santa Fe Hybrid, covering model years 2023 to 2026.
Hyundai dealers will inspect the seatbelt anchors free of charge and replace them if necessary. Owners are expected to receive notification letters in the mail about the recall in June.
