SOUTHWEST FLORIDA, (WINK) — Saturday kicks off a bit cooler, with early morning temperatures settling in the low to mid 60s. It will feel very pleasant, a nice morning for a walk or some coffee outside!
Expect a warm afternoon ahead with no rain on the Doppler 3X, thanks to a drier air mass that has moved into Florida.
This is also lowering humidity levels and keeping conditions nice and comfortable.
While it will be a gorgeous day, it will stay breezy, especially through the evening, with wind gusts reaching up to 25 mph at times.
This could impact your beach and boating plans, so exercise caution. Afternoon temperatures will climb into the mid to upper 80s, close to average.
The latter half of the weekend will be similar to today. Temperatures cool in the morning, then climb into the upper 80s later on.
Dry air dominates once again, keeping dewpoints in the comfortable range, and no rain is in the forecast.
You can expect it to be breezy once again, so use caution on the water.
Wind gusts up to 30mph at times out of the East/Northeast.
Breezy conditions continue into the first half of the week. High pressure dominates, keeping us warm and dry.
The WINK Weather Authority team is not expecting much rain in the foreseeable future, so our extreme drought conditions are expected to persist.
Rainy season doesn't officially begin until the middle of May, so we could see fire danger increase in the coming weeks.
We will be very warm by the end of this week, temperatures back in the 90s.
If you’re heading out on the water, use caution. Winds out of the NE will result in wave heights of 2 -4 ft.
There will be a moderate chop in the bays and inland waters. Winds could get gustier in the evening; a small craft advisory is in effect for coastal Collier County.
Gulf water temperature is near 77 degrees.
