Person airlifted to hospital after reportedly getting tangled in equipment up in tree in Naples

NAPLES, Fla. —

A person was airlifted after reportedly being tangled in equipment and stuck in a tree in Naples before rescue crews arrived Friday evening.

According to the Naples Fire-Rescue District, units were dispatched to West Boulevard and found a worker on the ground.

Fire officials said that other workers were able to help the person out of the tree before first responders arrived.

Collier County Emergency Medical Services took the individual to a landing zone, and MedFlight transported the person to Gulf Coast Medical Center.
