Warm and sunny again tomorrow! Find out how long this dry stretch lasts

SOUTHWEST FLORIDA, (WINK) — It was a beautiful day across Southwest Florida with highs in the mid 80s and lots of sunshine. It was also breezy with gusts around 25 mph.

Tonight, we will remain breezy with winds out of the NE 10 to 15 mph. Skies will remain clear overnight with lows in the low 60s. 

Breezy conditions will continue through the evening, with gusts up to 25 mph at times.

That could create choppy conditions along the coast and for boaters, so be sure to use caution if you’re heading out on the water.

Sunday

A copy & paste forecast of Saturday. Expect a comfortable start in the morning, followed by afternoon highs in the mid to upper 80s. High pressure dominates the forecast, keeping humidity in check and rain out of the forecast.

Winds will once again be a factor, with gusts up to 25 mph out of the east/northeast. Boaters and beachgoers should continue to stay vigilant of the breezy conditions.

Looking ahead

Breezy conditions stick around into the first half of the week. Rain chances remain very low, meaning drought conditions are expected to persist.

With rainy season still about a month away, fire danger could increase in the coming weeks. Temperatures will also be on the rise, with highs returning to the 90s by the end of the week.

Beach and boating

If you’re heading out on the water, use caution. Winds out of the NE will result in wave heights of 2 -4 ft.

There will be a moderate chop in the bays and inland waters. Winds could get gustier in the evening; a small craft advisory is in effect for coastal Collier County.

Gulf water temperature is near 77 degrees.
