Cape Coral opens reimagined Jaycee Park with splash pad, boardwalk and more on April 30

CAPE CORAL, Fla. —

Cape Coral's Jaycee Park is set to open to the public on Thursday, April 30, and a ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for Friday, May 8, at 10 a.m.

The major renovation project is almost complete, and the city said in a news release that it has transformed the park into a more accessible and family-friendly destination on the waterfront.

Jaycee Park is located at 4215 Southeast 20th Place. The ribbon cutting event is open to the public, and there is no reservation required to attend.

The city said the park features the following after its renovation:

• A lighted riverfront boardwalk and overlook
• Upgraded pathways with cooling misters
• Native landscaping
• Improved accessibility
• A large, inclusive playground
• Adult changing stations
• A 5,000-square-foot splash pad
• Shaded picnic areas
• A bandshell for performances
• Cornhole, pool and shuffleboard tables
• Beach volleyball courts
• A food truck with food and beverages (coming soon)

Cape Coral city officials will participate in the ribbon cutting, and the city encourages anyone attending to join in celebrating the park.
