Picayune Strand brush fire grows to 100 acres in Collier County

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. —

Crews are battling a massive brush fire in the Picayune Strand State Forest south of I-75 in Collier County.

According to the Florida Forest Service, the fire has reached 100 acres and is 0% contained as of 2:55 p.m. Monday, and no structures are at risk, and no injuries have been reported.

The Florida Highway Patrol said there is smoke in the area of I-75 southbound near mile marker 98.
