2 men accused of stealing Maybach, Gucci sunglasses in Fort Myers

FORT MYERS, Fla. —

Two men are accused of stealing high-end sunglasses in Fort Myers last year.

According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, two men, one of whom was identified as Alfonzie Rogers, 70, entered the Itopian Optical store on US-41 on November 3, 2025.

LCSO said Rogers and the other man stole multiple pairs of Maybach sunglasses from the business before running toward a gray Hyundai and driving away.

The store owner told deputies that the duo stole seven pairs of Maybach sunglasses, with a total value of $19,800.

While investigating, deputies discovered a similar theft had happened at Pearle Vision on Daniels Parkway on November 1, 2025. The two men had stolen 14 pairs of Gucci and Tom Ford sunglasses from the store, LCSO said.

Rogers was arrested on March 31 and faces charges of grand theft.
