Lee County Sheriff's Office seeks tips to bring missing mom home

NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. —

The Lee County Sheriff's Office is seeking information from the public that could assist in bringing home a mother who has been missing for nine years.

According to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers, Keri Cefarelli was last seen on January 5, 2017, when she left her home in North Fort Myers.

Several days after her disappearance, there were multiple verified sightings of Cefarelli in the central Fort Myers area, along US-41, Crime Stoppers said. However, since that time, there have been no further sightings or reports of Cefarelli.

Family members said it was unlike Cefarelli to take off for an extended period, and as time continued to pass, concerns for her safety only grew. Detectives consider Cefarelli's case to be an extenuating missing persons case, and believe foul play may be involved.

Detectives believe there are two people in the North Fort Myers area who know what happened to Cefarelli, and that a suspect may have told others that information.

Cefarelli is now 49 years old, and is 5'5", weighs 120 pounds and has a tattoo of a flower on her right shoulder and one of a cat on her ankle.
