SOUTHWEST FLORIDA, (WINK) —WINK News Weather Authority meteorologists are tracking our conditions across Southwest Florida and the latest on the Newman Dr/Picayune Strand Forest fire in Collier County. You can find the latest on the impacts on TV on WINK News.

The Weather Authority's Zach Maloch said, "We are going to be seeing another dry day. Plan for breezy conditions at times with an east wind today, with temperatures looking quite warm, so these are ingredients that are coming together not only to increase the size of that fire, but also to spark and lead to additional fires." 

Tuesday

Tuesday is starting quite nicely once again with lows in the lower to mid 60s.

We'll see a partly cloudy sky with dry conditions throughout the afternoon.

WINK News is on fire watch as our crews continue to monitor the Newman Dr/Picayune Strand Forest Fire, and smoke will continue passing over southern Collier County today.

Highs will be quite warm and top out in the mid to upper 80s.

Wednesday

Wednesday looks to start pleasantly with lows in the lower 60s.

Temperatures continue to heat up as highs top out in the upper 80s to around 90 for some.

Dry conditions are in the forecast for Wednesday, with an east wind becoming breezy at times.

Thursday

Thursday morning will start slightly milder with lows in the mid-60s.

Plan for another dry and warm day with highs in the upper 80s to lower 90s. A long stretch of hot temperatures continues into the weekend.
