City of Cape Coral encourages residents to submit speeding and traffic concerns as part of a study

CAPE CORAL, Fla. —

The City of Cape Coral is encouraging residents to take part in a citywide local roadway speed study.

Residents are asked to submit speeding concerns through a new interactive online map. The city said that community input will play an important role in guiding future traffic safety planning and decision-making across the city.

The study is designed to evaluate speed limits and traffic conditions on local roads throughout Cape Coral, and by gathering feedback directly from residents, the city aims to better understand where speeding concerns exist.

Per the city, residents can submit comments by following these steps:

• Visit the interactive map by clicking here
• Tap the blue “Add Comment” bar at the bottom of the page.
• Select “Speeding Concerns” and click “Select.”
• Zoom in and tap the road where you have a concern.
• When the speedometer icon appears, tap “Done.”
• Enter your comment (email is optional) and hit “Save.”
