Man drives into a playground in Punta Gorda, police search for driver

PUNTA GORDA, Fla. —

Punta Gorda police are conducting an active investigation at the Good Shepherd Day School after a car drove into the playground area.

According to the Punta Gorda Police Department, a car drove through a gate and into the playground area. No one was on the playground at the time.

The Day School is at the Church of the Good Shepherd on West Henry Street.

Police said a man was driving the car, and officers are currently trying to locate him.
