Naples senior community hosts fashion show to benefit children in need

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. —

Residents at Siena Lakes in Collier County raised funds and donations for children in need on the Gulf Coast. Siena Lakes is an Erickson Senior Living community.

Over 150 residents attended the event or volunteered. The event raised $19,415 for Laces of Love, a nonprofit organization that has provided 350,000 pairs of new shoes to low-income and disadvantaged children in Lee and Collier counties.

“Every year Siena Lakes residents plan, organize and execute a fun and exciting campus event that benefits a local non-profit,” said Executive Director Mike McCormick. “It's definitely a major highlight of the year for our community.”

Residents also donated 66 pairs of sneakers and athletic shoes.
