SWFL.io - Local NewsPUNTA GORDA, Fla. (WINK) — A vehicle crashed into the playground area at the Church of the Good Shepherd on W. Henry Street Wednesday morning.
No children were playing on the playground at the time of the crash. The Punta Gorda Police Department confirmed officers are still investigating what caused the vehicle to enter the playground area.
The car crashed through a gate to access the playground. The extent of the damage to the playground remains unclear at this time.
Police have not yet determined whether surveillance video of the incident is available.
