Search continues for information on 2018 murder of Bonita Springs pregnant mother

BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. —

The search for information continues after no arrests have been made after the death of 25-year-old Destiney Bocanegra, a pregnant mother, in Bonita Springs.

According to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers, Bocanegra was outside leaving Chuck E. Cheese with her boyfriend and 4-year-old son on April 21, 2018, near Matheson Avenue and Goodwin Street. A vehicle drove by and opened fire at them. She jumped in front of her son to shield him and was shot in the heart and killed.

She lost the baby she was carrying, and her boyfriend was also shot but survived.
