Tiger Woods challenges subpoena for prescription drug records after DUI charge

JUPITER ISLAND, Fla. —

Tiger Woods is contesting a subpoena for his prescription drug records as part of his legal case stemming from a DUI charge after a crash on Jupiter Island on March 27.

In a newly filed motion, Woods' attorneys argued that he has a right to privacy regarding his prescription records. They also requested a hearing to determine whether prosecutors should be allowed to obtain Woods' records from Lewis Pharmacy in Palm Beach.

Prosecutors have been seeking Woods' prescription records for much of this year, according to previous reports. The golf legend is officially charged with DUI and refusing to submit to a blood or urine test after the crash.

Authorities said Woods blew a triple-zero on a breathalyzer test, indicating no alcohol in his system, and they believe he was under the influence of something other than alcohol.

Woods has pleaded not guilty to the charges and waived his arraignment. He also stated he is "stepping away" to seek inpatient treatment, though he did not specify the condition for which he is seeking help.
