Double homicide investigation underway at Arcadia apartment complex

ARCADIA, Fla. (WINK)— The DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office and Arcadia Police Department responded to a shooting involving two women at the Jacaranda Trail Apartments.

According to the Arcadia Police Department, at 9:12 a.m. on Friday, units from both agencies responded to a shooting stemming from a domestic incident.

Upon arrival, law enforcement found a deceased woman with multiple gunshot wounds. An investigation was launched as law enforcement combed the area for a shooting suspect.

Law enforcement found their suspect, Eric Devon Robinson, in the area and arrested him.

At 1:09 p.m., while still on the scene investigating, officers were alerted to a second woman in an adjacent building who was not responsive.

The second woman had sustained gunshot wounds and was deceased.

Arcadia police say the scene was an isolated incident with no threats to the public.
