Fort Myers Mighty Mussels to host golf-themed night at Hammond Stadium

FORT MYERS, Fla. —

Hammond Stadium will host the Fort Myers Mighty Mussels’ inaugural Golf Night on Saturday, featuring giveaways, contests, and themed activities.

Managing Partner John Martin shared what attendees can expect during the event.

“We’ll still have great baseball, but Saturday is the Mighty Mussels’ inaugural Golf Night,” Martin said.

He explained that giveaways will include vouchers for rounds of golf awarded, fans can participate in a putting contest to win Mighty Mussels swag and tickets and even take part in a Best-Dressed Golfer Competition will reward prizes for the most creative costumes.

Martin said the idea for Golf Night was inspired by the recent Masters tournament.

“The Masters last weekend was four days of incredible golf with Rory McIlroy winning by just one shot,” he said. “Southwest Florida is a huge golfing community. Many experts consider our region as the Golf Capital of the U.S. There are 125 public and private golf courses in Southwest Florida,” Martin said.

Golf Night is scheduled for Saturday, April 18, with gates opening at 5 p.m. and the first pitch at 6:05 p.m. Martin noted that the event coincides with Bark in the Park, allowing dogs free admission.

Tickets for Golf Night are available starting at $12 and can be purchased online or at the box office at Hammond Stadium at the Lee Health Sports Complex.
