SOUTHWEST FLORIDA, (WINK) — WINK News Weather Authority meteorologists are tracking a big dome of heat influencing our weather pattern and raising our temperatures over the next few days.

The Weather Authority's Zach Maloch said, "Plan for a pretty hot afternoon ahead. For the weekend, plan for some beautiful, but warm, weather."

Friday

Friday is starting a little milder with temperatures in the mid to upper 60s.

The heat builds for your Friday plans with highs climbing into the upper 80s to lower 90s.

We'll stay dry, but that heat may sneak up on some of you throughout the day. Even hotter temperatures are forecast to build in over the weekend.

Saturday

Saturday will begin warmer and more humid with lows in the upper 60s to lower 70s.

Plan for another hot day with temperatures running 5 - 10° above normal.

Highs top out in the upper 80s to lower 90s. Dry conditions are in the forecast for your Saturday activities.

Sunday

Sunday morning starts quite a bit milder with lows hovering around 70.

While temperatures will be quite warm, plan for it not to be as hot as Saturday's, as highs top out in the mid to upper 80s.

We'll see a bit more cloud cover across the area with a low-end chance for rain.

A few small showers will pop up in the afternoon and evening.
