COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. (WINK) — The Picayune Strand State Forest wildfire in Collier County that began on Monday is 95% contained, according to the Florida Forest Service.
The fire was originally 1,733 acres in size. The fire is about three acres wide as of Saturday afternoon
The wildfire prompted evacuations due to the flames and smoke. However, Collier County officials said those who were under evacuation orders can now return home.
