Katie Walls is a trusted meteorologist with the WINK News Weather Authority, bringing nearly 20 years of experience forecasting Florida’s toughest weather. From hurricanes and severe storms to everyday forecasts, Katie is focused on helping viewers stay informed, prepared, and safe.

She first joined WINK News in 2011 and returned to Southwest Florida in 2022 after working in major Southeast markets, including Atlanta and Charlotte. Over the years, she has covered some of the most significant storms to impact the region, including Hurricanes Ian, Irma, Michael, Helene, and Milton.

Katie holds a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology from Florida State University and a Master’s degree in Meteorology from Penn State University. She is a Certified Broadcast Meteorologist and also holds certification in Emergency Management.

Her forecasting approach is rooted in accuracy, preparation, and calm leadership, especially when severe weather threatens Southwest Florida.
