Lee County deputies arrest suspect after attempted stabbing and vehicle chase

LEE COUNTY, Fla. —

A vehicle chase ended with Lee County deputies arresting a man who's accused of trying to stab a family member.

Deputies responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in the 1000 block of Sandy Hollow Lane in Bonita Springs on Sunday.

According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, the victim told deputies that Rosalio Garcia Carrillo came to the residence intoxicated and started acting aggressively.

The victim reportedly told deputies that Garcia Carillo pulled out a pocketknife and tried to stab a relative.

Garcia Carrillo was then picked up by a friend in a silver Toyota before deputies arrived.

LCSO deputies located the Toyota approximately two miles away and attempted to make a traffic stop. According to the sheriff's office, the vehicle fled multiple times before deputies used a grappler device to bring the vehicle to a stop.

Garcia Carrillo was taken into custody and is facing a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. According to LCSO, he is in the U.S. illegally and is being held on an ICE detainer.
