ESTERO, Fla. —

The Rock the Run 5K and 2-miler is returning to Estero on Saturday, April 25, at 8 a.m. at Coconut Point Mall, offering participants a rock-and-roll-themed race to support head and neck cancer programs.

Participants can choose between the 5K, the 2-mile race, or a virtual option that allows them to set their own pace from home for $40 to $45.

Organizers said the event is about more than just running.

Every step helps support head and neck cancer patients right here in Southwest Florida,” Speech Language Pathologist Stacey Brill said. “It’s one of those days where survivors, families, medical teams, and neighbors all run together for early detection and hope.”

Head and neck cancers, which include malignancies in the mouth, throat, nose, sinuses, or salivary glands, impact thousands of people every year. Early detection is critical, as catching these cancers early can make all the difference.

Funds raised from the event will benefit patients at the Lee Health Cancer Institute, supporting screenings, education initiatives, and critical patient care. Free head and neck cancer screenings will also be available on-site during the event.

Registration is open to all ages and experience levels, whether participants are serious runners or simply want to jog along for a good cause.
