A woman has been arrested after being accused of DUI manslaughter following an investigation into a deadly 2025 Hendry County crash.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, troopers have been conducting a traffic homicide investigation into an October 1, 2025, three-vehicle crash that occurred on CR-78 and Bonneville Street in Hendry County.
FHP said that a Dodge Durango being driven by Gabriela Ledezma, 33, was traveling east on CR-78 at 70 to 75 mph in a 45 mph zone.
Ledezma then side-swiped an SUV traveling westbound on CR-78 and then crashed into the front of a pickup truck that was right behind the SUV, according to FHP.
The Durangothen overturned. The driver of the pickup truck, a 45-year-old LaBelle man, was pronounced dead on the scene.
On Tuesday, troopers arrested Ledezma on a warrant stemming from the crash. Troopers said Ledezma's blood alcohol content at the time of the crash was between .08 and .13, and she tested positive for THC.
Ledezma faces charges of DUI manslaughter and vehicular homicide, among others.
