2 injured after shooting in Lehigh Acres neighborhood

LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. (WINK) — Authorities are investigating a shooting with injuries near the 4500 block of 21st Street Southwest in Lehigh Acres.

The Lee County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene on Wednesday at 10:30 p.m. They confirmed that two people sustained gunshot wounds and are receiving treatment at the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Deputies blocked off Curtis Avenue and 21st Street Southwest. LCSO Aviation circled the area.

LCSO said that the scene is contained and there is no threat to the public.

Their Violent Crimes Unit is investigating. This scene remains active while detectives continue to interview the parties involved.
