SOUTHWEST FLORIDA, (WINK) —WINK News Weather Authority meteorologists are tracking an increase in humidity that leads to afternoon rain chances over the coming days.
The Weather Authority's Zach Maloch said, "We are seeing a bit more coverage of showers today, with a few showers in the forecast. Beyond those rain chances, our temperatures are heating up in the forecast starting next week. So enjoy today, enjoy those cooler temperatures."
Thursday is off to another cool and refreshing morning, with temperatures in the 50s and lower 60s.
While the morning will start dry, a few showers (20% coverage) will be possible throughout the afternoon and evening.
Temperatures will feel quite nice with highs once again in the lower to mid 80s.
Friday morning looks to start a little milder, as more moisture begins to return to Southwest Florida.
This increase in moisture will lead to isolated showers and a few storms (30% coverage) on Friday afternoon.
Temperatures will be quite a bit hotter, with highs in the mid to upper 80s.
Saturday will start a bit more humid ahead of a warmer pattern this weekend.
Highs Saturday climb into the mid to upper 80s.
A few showers will develop along US-41 in the early afternoon and then track farther east and inland in the late-afternoon and evening hours.
