Wild video shows sparks flying from truck with missing wheels on I-4 in Central Florida

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. —

Sparks could be seen flying from a truck that was missing its front tire after witnesses reported it had hit a guardrail and kept traveling on Interstate 4 on three wheels on Wednesday.

Around 4:30 p.m., a witness called 911 while taking video of a Chevy Silverado pickup truck heading east on I-4 in Seminole County.

"I just want to report that there's a pickup truck with three wheels that rammed a bunch of people," said the caller.

Other witnesses claimed the truck was doing donuts and driving recklessly, according to the report from the Volusia Sheriff's Office.

The truck then continued northbound on U.S. Highway 17-92, ending up at a construction site off South Shell Road in Volusia County.

Body camera video shows the moment deputies caught up with the driver, Eric Todd Drewry.

Deputies say Drewery appeared to be under the influence, ignored their command and even kicked a deputy while being put into the back of a patrol car.

He is charged with DUI with damage, refusing a breathalyzer and leaving the scene of a crash.

The sheriff’s office added charges for resisting arrest and battery on a deputy.

The judge set his bond at $5,000.

He is also not allowed to have drugs or alcohol without a valid prescription.
