Cape Coral celebrates Arbor Day by planting over 300 new trees

CAPE CORAL, Fla. —

Cape Coral celebrated Arbor Day by planting more than 300 trees at Crystal Lake Park, thanks to a donation from the Florida Forest Service and the efforts of volunteers.

“It means a lot to have folks take that initiative and take pride in their city,” city arborist Omar Leon said.

The city expressed its appreciation to the Florida Forest Service for the donation and to the volunteers who helped with the tree planting.
