Yes, it’s getting more humid—but here’s why it actually matters

SOUTHWEST FLORIDA, (WINK) —WINK News Weather Authority meteorologists are tracking an increase in humidity that leads to afternoon rain chances over the coming days.

 The Weather Authority Meteorologist Zach Maloch said, “Outside of some increased cloud coverage in the morning, expect a drier Friday ahead. Isolated storms are possible this afternoon and evening, so take that into account for your Friday night plans.”

Friday

Friday morning looks to start a little milder as more moisture returns to Southwest Florida. 

This increase in moisture will lead to isolated showers and a few storms, around 30% coverage on this Friday, more so toward the late afternoon and throughout the evening. 

Temperatures will be much hotter, with highs in the mid to upper 80s.

Saturday

Saturday will start a bit more humid ahead of a warmer pattern this weekend. Highs Saturday climb into the mid to upper 80s. 

A few showers will develop along US-41 in the early afternoon and then track farther east and inland in the late-afternoon and evening hours. 

Coastal communities look to stay dry for your Saturday plans.

Sunday

Sunday looks to start a bit more humid, with patchy fog developing in the morning. 

While the morning will start dry, a few showers, around 20% coverage, will be possible throughout the afternoon and evening. 

Temperatures top out above normal and in the upper 80s to around 90°.
