A cold front moving in will fire up isolated showers and storms from 3–9 P.M., with heavy downpours and lightning the main concerns, especially for the evening commute.
Highs climb to around 90° with winds shifting from NE to NW (5–15 mph) this afternoon.
Tonight, the front fades, and drier air moves in tomorrow, lowering rain chances through the rest of the workweek. Expect low 90s and above-average heat sticking around into Saturday.
Drier conditions return Tuesday, with rain chances dropping to near zero through the rest of the workweek. Humidity levels will also fall, but that comes with an increased fire risk.
The dry air will allow temperatures to climb a few degrees above average, with highs nearing or reaching 90° each afternoon. More seasonable conditions are expected to return next weekend.
