Person and animals evacuate home after garage fire sparks in Collier County

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. —

Firefighters battled a fire that sparked in a garage at a home along Pebble Beach Boulevard in Collier County on Monday.

According to the Greater Naples Fire District, a person inside smelled smoke and evacuated with animals from the home. Officials said the fire was in the garage and it's a total loss; however, the rest of the home had smoke and water damage, but is "salvageable" with clean-up.

No injuries were reported in the incident, and firefighters were able to keep the flames confined to the garage.
