5-year-old pup Coco Chanel up for adoption at Gulf Coast Humane Society

FORT MYERS, Fla. —

On Tuesday, the Gulf Coast Humane Society brought Coco Chanel into the studio. The 5-year-old mixed-breed dog is looking for a family to call her own.

She is 69 pounds. The Humane Society says she is the perfect mix of beauty and energy. But if you plan on bringing this sweetheart home, be ready for a little extra work.

"Coco Chanel will need regular grooming for life to keep her beautiful coat in top condition, so she’s hoping for a home that’s ready for the commitment and all the extra compliments she’ll get," said Joy Berry with Gulf Coast Humane Society.

Right now, all dogs that are over 40 pounds are half off to adopt at the Gulf Coast Humane Society. Meanwhile, cats are both half-off and buy-one-get-one-free.

Anyone interested in adopting Coco Chanel or any other animal can visit the Gulf Coast Humane Society at 2010 Arcadia St. in Fort Myers.
