Movie theater on Marco Island closes after 32 years in business

MARCO ISLAND, Fla. —

Marco Movies, a movie theater on Marco Island that has been in business since 1993, is closing its doors on Tuesday.

Earlier this month, the theater announced that it would permanently close on April 28.

"After 32 years, we are sad to announce that Marco Movies will be closing its doors at the end of April," the announcement said. "We have been so proud to be part of this community and are incredibly grateful for the memories we've shared with all of you."

The theater will run its final four films, "Normal," "Michael," "The Super Mario Galaxy Movie" and "Project Hail Mary," with an 8:45 p.m. start time for each before closing its doors.
