SeaTow captain rescues struggling sea turtle off Naples coast

NAPLES, Fla. (WINK)— A SeaTow captain pulled a struggling sea turtle from the water this week during a routine patrol.

Captain Sam Villani was on a routine patrol off the Naples coast when he came across a loggerhead sea turtle that couldn't dive properly.

The turtle appeared to be suffering from buoyancy issues, according to a press release from SeaTow Naples.

Villani safely brought the turtle back to shore and handed it over to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission for evaluation and treatment.
