Hot, dry pattern sticks around; The daily spike in fire risk you need to know

SOUTHWEST FLORIDA (WINK) — WINK News Weather Authority meteorologists are tracking the continuation of hot and dry weather that lingers into the weekend. These conditions are increasing our threat for brush fires each afternoon through Saturday.

Next Three Days

Wednesday is starting a bit more humid with temperatures in the upper 60s to lower 70s. We'll see another hot and dry day with mostly sunny conditions. Highs climb into the upper 80s and lower 90s. Hotter temperatures are expected inland as a coastal breeze moderates temperatures west of I-75.

Thursday continues our stretch of warm and humid mornings with lows mainly in the lower 70s. Dry conditions continue as well, with mostly sunny to partly cloudy conditions for those afternoon plans. Highs top out in the upper 80s to lower 90s.

Friday looks to start mild and humid once again with temperatures in the 60s to lower 70s for the morning commute. Our hot and dry weather continues with a partly cloudy sky expected Friday afternoon. Highs top out in the upper 80s to lower 90s.
